Daily Reflection (01/26/13)

Open a new Window

We don’t like change. Why? Because change is uncomfortable. We like our routine, we like doing things a certain way, the way we have always done things. Lots of us are also stubborn and get very set in our own ways. Making changes in simple things, like dong something different in the morning, or taking a different route to work may be nice to try today. Grab an iced coffee and a muffin for breakfast instead of your normal coffee and toast!

Making changes internally is a much more difficult. I am one of those people who, through years of being in stubborn denial, has finally learned and realized that internal changes are a very good thing. As we age and grow, and become wiser, hopefully, how can we not admit that there are things that we need to change about ourselves? About our demeanor? About the way we think in certain situations?  What changes can we make to better ourselves as people and better are lives?

What change, one single change, can we make today? What can we do differently? If there is anything that we don’t like about ourselves, or just desire a new change of scenery, or a new part of our routine, how can we accomplish that today?

Make a change & do something different today! Happy Saturday!

Have a beautiful day! ~ Jen

  1. Yes I agree!! Smoothing our rough edges is good for personal growth! Making changes is hard sometimes but it should be done. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over & over and expecting a different result. Something to think about. ~ Jen
